USB Sound Card
Q: Does Auzentech offer a USB sound card?
A: Auzentech's award-winning VR-Fidelity USB speakerphone is also a great USB sound card. This article will give a brief introduction to how to use the VR-Fidelity for your USB sound card on laptop and desktop computers.
Laptop USB sound card
Laptop users can plug the VR-Fidelity into the laptop USB sound port and it will take over as your USB sound card. Since the VR-Fidelity uses the same high-quality audio chip that drives Auzentech's PCI surround sound soundcards, you can expect great audio. For great stereo sound, plug into the headphones jack. To power external speakers, plug into the Aux output jack; the VR Fidelity speaker will continue to play as a third speaker, enhancing the audio.
Desktop USB sound card
If you have a desktop computer with a basic stereo sound card, simply plug the VR-Fidelity USB sound card into the USB port and let it take over all audio processing. Plug your desktop computer speakers into the VR Fidelity Aux out jack, and turn on your desktop speakers.
If your experience is typical, the sound will be more crisp and the frequency range will improve. Leave the volume turned up on the VR-Fidelity and it will serve as a third speaker, further expanding the frequency range of your desktop speakers
Desktop computer users who have already upgraded the desktop PC to the Auzentech X-Plosion or X-Mystique soundcards will want to continue to use those internal cards for their music, movie, or game audio listening.
In this case, you should use the VR-Fidelity as a Skypephone by selecting it as the default soundcard driver in your VOIP application; leave your high-end soundcard as the default soundcard for all other applications. The cards will coexist happily, and the VR Fidelity can be left plugged into the USB port at all times.
Looking for a great USB sound card? The VR-Fidelity USB sound card provides hi-fi audio for both laptop and desktop users, and is also an award winning Skypephone.
